WHY BLCK THERAPY?

I founded BLCK Therapy to increase behavioral health awareness specifically in our African American community. What does that mean? You should talk to a professional when you are dealing with tough emotions that are affecting how you move around in your day!

I am passionate to help change the stigma behind engaging in talk therapy with a therapist, counselor, or life coach.

If you are reading this and identify as Black/African American, we have endured a lot of trauma both learned and generational. If that is not managed properly, as we age, the intensity and pain of trauma doesn't just go away, it evolves as we do. This trauma can later show up as either aggressive behavior, isolation, anxiety, depression and in other cases, suicide. Nobody got time for that!

You want to THRIVE in your life. You want to be successful. You want to heal and learn how to move on from trauma, right? You should not feel ashamed or like your "why" is judged or compromised.

Take action today to feel better mentally/emotionally. When you start to see positive results from talking to a professional, I encourage you to now share what you have learned with someone else who might be struggling with the same thing you are recovering from.
